Eritrea: Maulid Celebrated Nationwide

Asmara — Eid Maulid Anebi Asherif was today celebrated nationwide in a colorful manner. Speaking at a gathering within the premises of Jimie Al-Kulafa Al-Rashideen Mosque here in the capital in which ministers, senior government officials, religious leaders, diplomats and thousands of the faithful took part, the Eritrean Mufti, Sheik Al-Amin Osman, congratulated the Eritrean people at home and abroad. He further wished peace and prosperity to fellow citizens.
The secretary general of the Awkaf congress in Asmara, Mr. Mohammed Berhan Ahmed, on his part expressed happy Maulid to all followers of the Islamic Faith and wished a year of peace and prosperity.Students presented various spiritual songs, poems and dramas on the occasion, thus adding color to the celebrations
